Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using this website. By visiting any page, running a search, or reading content here, you agree to everything listed below. If you do not accept these conditions, leave the site and do not use it further.

NO FCRA USE. This privately owned site has no connection with a local, Louisiana, or federal government body. This site and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to guide readers to Claiborne Parish and Louisiana criminal-record resources. It is neither a private investigation business nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site. We operate on our own with no ties to any government office. We do not store official criminal records and we cannot pull records, run official background checks, or file documents for anyone.

We identify the Claiborne Parish sheriff and courts, Louisiana State Police, Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information, and the Louisiana State Police State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry as official sources, and may link to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use this site or a linked tool to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone; such conduct may also be criminal. Louisiana law particularly restricts misuse of the Louisiana State Police State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. Registry information supports public-safety awareness, never vigilantism, blacklisting, or discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check for a regulated purpose must be obtained through Louisiana State Police, Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information or an FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

The site offers general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Louisiana attorney can advise how a Claiborne Parish charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule applies to a particular situation.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records continually change as charges are filed, dismissed, sealed, or expunged, so gaps cannot be eliminated. No statement here should be treated as an official representation by a court, sheriff, or government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

We link to sheriff's office sites, court portals, state agency pages, legal aid organizations, and outside search services across this site. Clicking one of those links moves you off our platform and onto one we have no control over. We are not responsible for their content, how they handle data, what they charge, or whether their site stays online. Check their terms before using them.

8. Intellectual Property

Claiborne Parish Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from site use, including reliance on material found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms. A dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Louisiana. Public-record access referenced here is governed by Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., while state criminal-history dissemination is addressed in La. R.S. 15:576 through 15:590.

12. Changes to These Terms

We can update these terms whenever we see fit. New terms go into effect the moment they appear on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We can limit or block your access to this site at any time, for any reason, with no warning.

14. Severability

If a court rules that any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stand. The problem section gets adjusted only as much as needed to make it work.
